About

Orgullo Kan (OK) Bikol:

“Our Heritage, Our Pride”

Orgullo Kan Bikol (OKB), through the years, has provided opportunities for our homegrown entrepreneurs to develop, find new markets and become more competitive. Organized by the OK Bikol Association, Inc. in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Region 5 and the Department of Tourism (DOT)-Region 5, this annual marketing and cultural event is the longest running regional trade fair in the Philippines.

This blog is about OK Bikol (trade fair); PLUS MORE (anything that makes Bikol OK).

It presents a myriad of pictures, feature stories, product shots, news, photography, poems and other posts which highlight the beauty and uniqueness of the Bicol Peninsula, south of Luzon Island in the Philippines. By this blog, we wish to advocate and promote not only the OKB-Gayon Bicol marketing/ cultural  event, but the whole FUNtastic Bicol Region as well; in keeping too, with the government’s current thrust to push “It’s more fun in the Philippines”.

To make this site more dynamic and interactive, we have added a section, “Why Bicol is OK: RETRATOS-RAWITDAWIT”, where readers can share their photography about Bicol subjects (flora & fauna, sights & scenes, faces & phases) and post poems/ tula/ rawitdawit and other literary works which highlight beauty and fun in Bicol; Why Bicol is OK.

Yes, it’s more fun in Bicol, Philippines!

Against the backdrop of Mayon Volcano’s perfect cone, come and see why Bicol is OK.
